“I have been feeling so dehydrated lately. My skin is dry, lips are chapped, and I feel so tired all the time.”
A recent complaint from one of my patients when she came in for a visit. She came to see me so I could address her Chronic Pain and we ended up also talking about how dehydrated she had been. Unfortunately, this is a common issue with many patients living here in Arizona. I even feel dry, and I try to drink about three liters of water a day. Keeping myself hydrated helps to keep my brain clear and sharp, my energy levels up, and the systems in my body working correctly. Hydration is such a vital component of the health of our body. It helps to flush out toxins, provide clarity to our brains and give our body the energy it needs to complete our daily functions.
Without proper hydration, our bodies aren’t able to function at their optimal level. Being dehydrated may also increase inflammation in your body and make your pain feel worse.
This is why I love and believe in IV Hydration and Nutrition. You are probably thinking, “I will just drink more water.” While you definitely should, sometimes drinking water alone won’t entirely hydrate you to the level your body needs. IV Hydration and Nutrition gives your body hydration in the fastest way possible, through your veins, and gives you the vitamins and nutrients your body needs.
What are IV Hydration and Nutrients?
IV hydration and Nutrients are ways of combating dehydration by administering vitamins and liquids through your veins in an easy and relaxing manner; it helps to cleanse the system, reduce inflammation, boost immunity, and rejuvenate the body. An intravenous rehydration procedure is an effective, safe, and simple way to revitalize the body. People of all ages use this method of hydration to help support their system in many ways.
IV Hydration and Nutrition can be used to:
- Support your body when you’re sick and help ease the symptoms of your illness. It gives back some of your energy and benefits, so you don’t feel so sluggish.
- Recover from surgery or a workout by giving your system a good dose of vitamins and nutrients it needs to heal.
- Boost energy and increase hydration
- Detox unwanted substances from the body. IV hydration helps support your kidney and liver function to rid your body of toxins properly.
- Reduce inflammation in the body with anti-inflammatory vitamins and minerals.
Does this sound familiar?
- You lack energy and vitality
- Your lips are always dry
- Your brain feels foggy
- You have a hard time falling or staying asleep
- Your motility is slow
- Your body feels inflamed
These symptoms could signify that your body is dehydrated, and you may need extra hydration and nutrients.
Benefits of Vitamin IV and Nutrients
Great for your digestive system- IV hydration therapy allows your body to absorb nutrients and fluids without relying on the digestive system. It creates less waste than drinking fluids, and your body can retain more of the nutrients it needs.
Boosts Immunity- IV therapy helps to give your immune system a big boost by providing it with a high dose of vitamin C and B vitamins. When the vitamins are administered directly into your bloodstream, they are more effective than taking them orally. IV therapy is a great way to support your body during an illness or to help strengthen your immune system to prevent disease hopefully.
Flushes Toxins- IV hydration therapy helps support your liver and kidneys to flush out the waste and toxins in your body, helping to improve vital organs. Drinking water often is too slow and won’t allow your body to eliminate all the toxins that have built up entirely. IV hydration delivers the hydration internally to all areas of the body, allowing all of the toxins to be released.
Improves Cognitive Function- To stay clear, focused, and sharp, your brain needs to stay properly hydrated. Most adults are not getting the hydration that their body or brain needs. When drinking fluids, the brain is the last part of the body to get hydration. IV hydration works faster to get your brain adequately hydrated and deliver the nutrients it needs to function optimally.
Reduces your Recovery Time- Whether post-workout or you have just had surgery, your body often needs extra support. IV hydration supports your body with essential vitamins and a hefty dose of hydration to help you during this recovery period.
Helps to Increase Energy- When a person is dehydrated or not getting the proper vitamins, they can often feel sluggish and depleted. By offering your body the appropriate hydration and nutritional support, you can increase your energy and stamina to do the things you love the most.

What is the process of getting an IV?
Call our front desk when you’re ready to boost your energy and feel better. One of our fantastic team members will get you scheduled.
You will want to call ahead and book accordingly to ensure we have an opening for you. We only reserve 1-2 people per hour to ensure our nurse can give you personalized care. Once you arrive, we will have you fill out a quick form, and then our nurse will bring you into our relaxation room, where you can sit and relax on one of our comfortable recliners. They will go over your medical history with you, and based on your needs; they will recommend the right IV. Our nurse will then concur with Dr. Goyle to have him customize your desired IV based on your medical history and needs. Once this is established, the nurse will insert your IV into the desired area of the arm. It’s quick and painless. You can sit and relax by listening to music or watching your favorite show. The process takes about an hour and is a nice break from the busy hustle and bustle.
Finally
I feel so fortunate to be able to offer this treatment to patients and give them the extra support that they need. We are now scheduling appointments, so give our office a call today to get an appointment.
Hydration is essential when it comes to the health of our bodies and keeping them functioning optimally. This is why I try to do an IV once per week. If you follow me on Instagram, you have likely seen Nikki and me eating dinner, and I am doing an infusion of specific vitamins, or my favorite, NAD. That’s another topic for a different day. Always consult your doctor before doing any IV hydration and nutrients to ensure this treatment is recommended for you.
